Exit through the Gift Shop

OH MY GOD I just watched "Exit through the Gift Shop" and it was such a great movie. It was a documentary about this french guy Thierry Guetta. He is a shop keeper that lives in L.A. and. . . How could you say. . . A filming addict. He films everything he sees. And he always has a film camera with him. So then one day he starts filming his cousin (I think). His cousin is a street artist that calls himself Space Invader. Space Invader makes little space invader monsters in different colors and glues them up on walls. Like so:

So then he starts getting interested in street art (you have to know this is all around the year 2008) and he meets up with Shepard Fairey. Shepard Fairey is a street artist that mostly glues up big paper posters. Kind of looking like this:
Later he designed a posters for Obama (here is some info about him: http://bit.ly/dV2Oj7) that said hope or progress on them. But back to the movie; So he meats up with Shepard Fairey and starts coming with him on his nightly tours of the ciy putting up those posters everywhere. And if course; he films everything. Then he meats all those other streat artists and he has loads of fun. But he is never quite happy because the person he really wants to meet is Banksy. And then a miracle happens Banksy comes to L.A. Banksy doesn't know the city so he meets up with Shepard Fairey to ask him if he knows a good guid. And Shepard Fairey recommends Thierry Guetta. So Banksy and Thierry hang out a while and soon they become quite good friends. They visit eachother in London (where Banksy lives) and L.A. Then one day Banksy asks Thierry what he wants to do with all that film, and Thierry desides to do a documentary. It turns out to be a catastrophe so Banksy thinks that maybe he could make a film. All the while Thierry has already started to make his own street art. Little stickers with him on them holding a camera. They looked like this: ^
So Banksy started making this movie but he had to be left in peace. Beacause of that Banksy sent Thierry of back to L.A. to do some more of his art. Thierry loved that idea and started working on his own art show in L.A. Before he started though, he gave himself a name; it was Mr. Brainwash. He spent all of his money for that and finally after a lot of hard work succeded. How that turned out you will have to find out yourself. Hope you love it.

New rumors about the iPhone Nano and some other STUFF

Ooh, I have a very sad thing to tell you. I have heard rumors that the iPhone Nano is not going to happen. I think that's kind of sad because I loved the idea of a small iPhone. It is perfect for people like me who love the iPhone (design, apps, touchscreen awesomness. . .) but aren't so keen on the size. Ok actually there isn't much to say about this. So, I'm just going to talk about something else. . .

Grool, isn't that such a cool word it's a mixture of cool and great. Or should I say great and cool. I didn't invent it although I wish I had. The word is kind of ironic (can you say that). You see, I think Grool sounds mean and yeah what sshould I say; not so nice! But great and cool are both words that describe something. . . Great or cool or awesome or cute or sweet or fantastic or wonderful or. . . Isn't that so awesome; there are so many words to desribe something great or cool. . . Whatever just look in the sentence beforethis one.

I don't know the exact date of the Oscars but since the nominees are already announced (look under: http://www.oscars.org/awards/academyawards/83/nominees.html) they must be coming up soon. Also I read that James Franco, who is also btw nominated as actor in leading role for "127 Hours", and Anne Hathaway will be the co-hosts at the 83rd Oscars (check under: http://www.oscars.org/press/pressreleases/2010/20101129.html). But back to the nominees. Since I haven't seen most of the movies I can't really say much about who is probably going to win. But I think for "Best Picture" "Inception" ( Emma Thomas and Christopher Nolan, Producers) has a pretty good chance. Also, I hope that for "Documentary (Feature)" Banksy's film "Exit through the Gift Shop" wins an Oscar. 

I really like Banksy's street art I think it's great. Look at those: (my fav is the woman picking up the "sheet") 

Plus everyone can see it even people that can't afford to go to the museum. I personally don't actually mind graffiti as long as it's interesting and not some stupid scribble on the wall I think that just doesn't look nice. like i.e. this:

Iphone nano

Hey buddies
whasup?
So what I wanted to tell you about in this entry is the iPhone nano. If you hear that you'll probably I'm totally crazy but I'm not I have actually heard rumors that an iPhone nano is coming out. . .
Uggh I just googled it and actually I'm not one of the first people to hear about it (manno I felt so proud) Oh well i'M gonna talk about it anyway.
It is supposed to be like 2 thirds of the real iPhone and I think its also going to have a sliding out/flip out writing bord thing (I hope you know what I mean since I don't know what to call it) here wait let me post a pic. .

 

Wow.. I looked and I found a few different designs. Plus, I don't really like this design for an iPhone and I hope this isn't how it will look like. I think it would be cool as an iPod nano but not as an iPhone it's to small and I think that looses the whole "I have an iPhone and its awesome" feeling. What I dolike is the round thing on the back its kind of cute. Ok but now let me post another design:

Ok that is what I call uuuuuuuugggggggggglllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyy. For other phones: ok. But for an iphone a complete nogo. Sorry that I had to say it like that but I just don't like that design. It's so weird and thin and doesn't suit an iPhone at all. How about this design:

What is an ewe?

Ok, if I were guessing wildly i would think it is a tree kind (probably cause it sounds kind of like yew) or maybe. . . Gee I really don't know, and till now I didn't even know that word existed but it does.
But then I got the homework to research what it means and here I am.

Justin Biebers Voice Crack

Hey you guys,
you probably know about Justin Biebers (I am a fan) voice crack. but Just incase you don't believe it watch this movie. It shows him performing Pray, at the AMA's. I think that Pray is probably his  best song yet. I love it!!!!!!! <3
So listen closely when JB gets up from the Piano and sings I. . . His voice definately cracks. . . I think its cool cause it shows that stars are just normal people like us. (with voice crack)

Ok so you've watched the movie. I like it but there are two things that are kind of weird.
First of all his dancing. No offence but its kind of awkward especially the facing the floor part. And second of all the choir in the end is not my taste. It's probably to emphasize the whole; "I am holy and I pray" part but, Justin Bieber; don't do that again! Well  except that it's so awesome and I love the song and his voice. I have to admit the first time I listened to him I asked my friends if they were sure that he's not a girl. ;) Oh well

Light Graffiti Fashion

Wow, I was searching for something to write about when I found this:

Isn't that dress awesome. I love those strips of light all mushled (Isn't that the cutest word :) up together. Also I love that dekollete (is that how you spell it?) It's so round and spiky and . . . Oh I can't describe it its sooooo awesome. I found this dress on the "STREETART BERLIN BLOG" (its all in german) there is an article that talks about this dude Atton Conrad (attonconrad.com) that is a Fashion-Photographer in London. He put models in the light so that while he was taking the picture the light kinda did that dress around the models. It's sooooooooo cool. the way that model looks in that picture and the way she poses just fits so well to the whole light thing. Because the light is like sharp and a very bright white and on the black background and the look of the model. It just fits together so well *sigh*

Just Some Fashion

 In this entry I will review Ugg boots and talk about fashion :) HAVE FUN

Number one: ugg boots:

I like UGG boots. They are warm and soft and practical. They have also bin in fashion since. . . Oh I don't know when. Everyone has those shoes. Even if they are so expensive. By now you can by them fake or real in almost every shoe shop. I like them but since I got my own pair for x-mas last year I've gotten kind of bored of them. Plus I have a question. Why do they come from Australia if it isn't even ever really cold there???
Some of the bad things are that they aren't waterproof, they. . . I don't know to be honest that is the only thing that I could think of till now.
I like that they come in loads of different designs, sizes and colors. Also I think they look quite good with a miniskirt.

I have noticed that there are kind of 3 kinds of fashion:

• something like this: (A dress designed by Hussein Chalayan) (he says that he thinks of his fashion more like art)

 

Although its pretty awesome most people wouldn't wear that (excluding models 'cause its their job) 

•  then that: (parts from burberry spring collection 2011):
• Its the expensive clothes from Gucci, Burberry, Chanel, Prada, Hugo Boss etc. that probably loads of people would wear but not many can afford. These are the clothes that stars can afford.

• then as last the kinds of clothes that almost everyone can afford and that most people wear. Those are clothes from H&M, Zara, Mango etc.

But I think that you don't need the expensive clothes to be fashionable. Often you can get really cool stuff at second hand shops. and plus as long as you feel comfortable in your clothes. Who cares what your wearing.

just a ques

Hey everybody out there,
I have a question to you all.
Why does society (that sounds so nerdish) think being thin is pretty? I don't mean that in a bad way. I'm just wondering. Its just so weird. Its like someone said (maybe god?) that everyone has to think that and now... That just the way it is :/. I mean being thin is fine. But honestly this :

isn't pretty anymore. That's disgusting!!!!!! I think all those cloths that famous and expensive labels (alexander mcqueen, anna sui, burberry, prada, christian dior, calvin klein, hugo boss...) make should be made to fit normal sizes. Because a lot of models that go on the runway/catwalk look like that. Because this isn't normal anymore I don't even know how they (the models) can do this. Its just so horrible!
Enough of that. Lets think of happy thoughts :)

OMG, I can't believe it I just started my own blog! (Ok actually its not that special) So before I start wrirting anything I'd just like to say that my name is Nike (pronoun. Neeka), I speek English and German and I just threw over my paper basket. So in this blog I'm just going to write anything that comes to my mind :).
